Private Charter & Special Event
Alpine Helicopters work alongside Minaret Station to provide guests with a range of chartered events, designed with corporate, friend and family groups of varying sizes in mind.
The Minaret Station Alpine Lodge is a superb location for a high-country board meetings, where guests can enjoy first class cuisine, catered break-out sessions and friendly hosts, in a magnificently private setting. In addition, chartered trips to the other remote locations such as the West Coast, Stewart Island and Fiordland or anywhere in New Zealand. Guided activities such as fly and sea fishing, hiking, wine tours, heli-biking and heli-skiing can also be inclusions for private events. For groups preferring less active excursions, elaborate picnics can be served in countless wilderness locations and with tailored team building activities upon request.
Fire Fighting
Alpine Helicopters team of highly experienced pilots and ground crew support some of New Zealand’s biggest fires.
Our fleet of modern turbine helicopters are equipped with purpose designed monsoon fire buckets and foam dispensers that can be adjusted for precision or broad drop application.
For your peace of mind and risk management, we can position and be ready to respond during any sensitive controlled burn-offs as well as provide post-fire utility services such as Aerial survey & assessment, measurement and crew transportation. Alpine Helicopters has been FENZ Audited and is an approved operator.

Alpine Helicopters has extensive experience with the commercial aerial filming sector including motion picture, documentaries, advertisements, wildlife filming, product launches, scenic flying, adventure activities and extreme sports.
We are experienced working with both handheld camera operators or the latest high-performance camera systems, utilising gyro-stabilised platforms such as the Shotover Camera system that offer unprecedented levels of stability, control and versatility attached to the helicopter.In addition we work with a wide variety of photographers on diverse projects in remote locations.
Our pilots , hold extensive experience working and flying in mountainous, remote and challenging terrain and have worked with a variety of photographers and film crews on diverse range of projects.
